Set the dimensions and the model rebuilds instantly. Made for 3D printers, not laser cutters or cardboard.
A 3D-printable box with lid in your own size
A ready-made box STL from a model library almost never fits: a couple of millimetres too small, or the wrong lid. Here you set the box yourself — length, width, height, walls, dividers and lid — and the model rebuilds instantly. You get an STL or 3MF for your 3D printer. This box generator is for 3D printing, not for laser cutting or cardboard.
Presets
- Gift box — 120×80×45 mm with a lid.
- Keepsake — 100×100×35 mm.
- Tea box — 220×90×70 mm, 4 compartments.
- Desk organizer — 160×100×35 mm, 2×3 grid, no lid.
A preset is just a start: change any size afterwards. Wall and floor thickness are kept when you switch presets.
Size, walls and floor
Length and width from 20 to 400 mm, height from 5 to 400 mm, corner radius up to 40 mm. Walls are equal by default, but each of the four can have its own thickness. The bottom edge can be rounded outside or inside — small items are easier to scoop out.
Organizer with dividers
Dividers form a grid of up to 16 rows and 16 columns, and can be lower than the walls. The cell size is shown under the settings, so it is easy to fit an organizer to bits, batteries, SD cards or stationery.
Lid
The lid is a cap that fits over the walls. Clearance comes with buttons — Snug 0.12 mm, Loose 0.35 mm — or set it by hand. The lid can have a window to see what is inside. It prints next to the body, upside down, with no supports.
Wall texture
Six patterns: knurling, honeycomb, ribs, wave, pyramids, dots. The relief stands out, the inside stays smooth. If the chosen depth would print with overhangs, the generator reduces it and tells you the new value.
Will it fit the bed
The generator checks that the body and lid fit your printer bed and warns you if they do not.
FAQ
How do I make a box with a lid for 3D printing?
Set the length, width and height, turn on the lid and choose the clearance — Snug 0.12 mm or Loose 0.35 mm. Download an STL or 3MF: the body and the lid are separate objects.
Can I make an organizer with compartments?
Yes. Add dividers as a grid of up to 16 × 16. The cell size is shown under the settings, and the Desk organizer preset gives 160×100×35 mm with a 2×3 grid right away.
What lid clearance should I use?
0.35 mm suits most printers — the lid comes off easily. For a tighter fit use 0.12 mm.
Does it need supports?
No. The body prints on its floor, the lid upside down next to it. The texture depth is limited automatically to avoid overhangs.
Is it for laser cutting or cardboard?
No, it makes a solid model for a 3D printer: STL and 3MF.
